Chromotherapy

Updated: Feb 27, 2020

Chromotherapy is sometimes called color therapy.

Have you every wondered why a red painting in a hospital makes you uncomfortable, why green is a relaxing color and why web designers use orange and red on Call to action buttons?

The reason is that our minds are programmed to associate certain colors with objects and events, the color blue is associated with holidays and freedom and a glance skywards is often calming.

Bright multicolored artworks are also useful to add cheer to a blank wall, neutral colors can be used as a background to these. Thus thinking of color when buying your favorite art is sometimes useful when making purchases when you know where they will be going. Alternatively placing that favorite painting in a different setting by changing the surrounding color may be worth considering when creating your environment.

One thing is certain adding color to your environment will brighten any grey day and you can have benefits using your favorite color or colors to create a pleasant surrounding.

Try some chromotherapy today to see the difference it can make in your life.
