This is when one baby bird kills their brother or sister by eating all the food or knocking them off the nest either intentionally in times when food is scare to survive or by accident. So when we were photographing these Wedge- tailed eagles over a period of months we were very aware of this. Thankfully both the babies in our Australian Bird Photography page survived but there was always one that appeared smaller than the other.
